MI vs SRH Highlights: Mumbai Crush Hyderabad with All-Round Show


Mumbai: Five-time champion Mumbai Indians seems to be returning to form in IPL 2025. After suffering four defeats in the first 5 matches, Hardik Pandya's team has won two matches in a row. Mumbai won by 6 wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad at their home ground Wankhede Stadium. Hyderabad's team scored 162 runs for 5 wickets on a difficult wicket for batting. Mumbai won the match by losing 4 wickets in 19 overs. After the score was equal, Mumbai lost two wickets. Mumbai's team was able to achieve the target after 5 dot balls. This is Mumbai's third win in 7 matches while Hyderabad's fifth loss in the same number of matches.


Hyderabad batsmen did not perform well

The pitch of Wankhede Stadium was helping the spinners and the fast bowlers were getting benefit from slow balls due to which the Sunrisers Hyderabad batsmen had to struggle to adapt to the wicket in the innings. Sunrisers Hyderabad found rhythm late in batting. The team finally added to the score by scoring 57 runs in the last five overs. Mumbai Indians bowlers made a precise plan in which Jasprit Bumrah took one wicket for 21 runs in four overs.


Trent Boult again took advantage of his yorker ball and took one wicket for 29 runs in four overs while Will Jacks bowled brilliantly and took two wickets for 14 runs in three overs. Sunrisers Hyderabad had to struggle from the beginning and opener Abhishek Sharma scored 40 runs in 28 balls with the help of seven fours. In the first over, both the openers of the team got a lifeline on Deepak Chahar's ball.


Two catches missed in the first over


Jacques dropped Abhishek's catch on the very first ball while Karn Sharma also failed to catch Travis Head's catch on the fourth ball. Abhishek hit three fours off Chahar's balls in the fifth over, but he did not look in rhythm. Abhishek was out on Hardik Pandya's ball in the eighth over. Jacques then took the important wicket of Ishan Kishan who was stumped out for just two runs.


On the other end, Head could not score runs despite trying his best to play freely. He was out after scoring 28 runs off 29 balls. Mumbai Indians had dominated so much that the first six of the match was hit in the 18th over which was the best over of Sunrisers' innings. In this, Heinrich Klaasen (37 runs off 28 balls) scored 21 runs which spoiled Chahar's figures. In the last over, Aniket Verma hit two sixes off Pandya and Pat Cummins scored 22 runs by hitting a six.


Rohit gave a fast start

Rohit Sharma gave a fast start to Mumbai Indians. He hit two sixes in the third over against Mohammed Shami. After this, he hit a six against Pat Cummins in the fourth over. Rohit was out after scoring 26 runs with the help of 3 sixes in 16 balls. Cummins took his wicket. After the powerplay, Mumbai's score was 55 runs for one wicket.
