MS Dhoni celebrates New Year in Thailand with daughter Ziva

New Delhi: Former captain of the Indian cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, celebrated the New Year not in India but in Thailand. His family was also with him during this time. Dhoni's wife Sakshi shared a photo on Instagram, in which the 'Captain Cool's' entire family is seen in a celebratory mood for the New Year. The special thing is that Dhoni's daughter Ziva is also seen in this photo after a long time, and she has grown up now. Photos and videos of Ziva from her childhood have gone viral on social media, but fans have expressed immense happiness at seeing her grown up.

The photo shows a party mood in Phuket, Thailand

The photo posted by Sakshi shows the location as Phuket, Thailand. In it, Dhoni's entire family is seen in a party mood. Dhoni and Sakshi are wearing funky golden party caps. Sakshi looks very beautiful in a golden Western gown. Sakshi has simply written "Happy New Year to all" as the caption for this photo.

Dhoni's brilliance on the pitch will be seen in IPL 2026

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has retired from international cricket and does not play domestic cricket for Jharkhand either. For the past 5 years, his brilliance on the pitch is now only visible to cricket fans during the Indian Premier League (IPL). Now, fans are eagerly waiting for March, when Mahi will be seen playing again at the start of IPL 2026. Dhoni is also preparing extensively for this. Many videos of his preparations at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi have also gone viral in recent days. This might be Dhoni's last IPL season.

After being the captain of Chennai Super Kings for a long time, Dhoni had handed over the captaincy first to Ravindra Jadeja and then to Ruturaj Gaikwad last season. However, he had to take back the responsibility mid-season when Gaikwad got injured, but now he seems to be in a retirement mood. Dhoni is 44 years old, and his knee injury is also causing him continuous problems. In such a situation, this could be his last IPL season. CSK coach and former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming also hinted at this during the IPL 2026 Auction. Fleming hinted at this in a conversation with ESPNcricinfo regarding Sanju Samson's trade, saying that there will come a time when Dhoni will have to leave. Because of this, this season is going to be very emotional and special for the fans.
