Mumbai: COVID-19 cases are rising again in India. In such a situation, Mumbai Indians (MI) owner Nita Ambani reminded her team players to follow the rules of prevention from COVID. MI defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) to make it to the IPL 2025 playoffs. After this, Nita Ambani asked the players to use sanitizer. She herself sanitized the hands of Jasprit Bumrah and Karn Sharma. MI defeated DC by 59 runs.
With this win, MI reached the playoffs along with Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings. After the match, Nita Ambani asked Jasprit Bumrah to apply sanitizer before shaking hands. She herself put sanitiser on Bumrah's hand. Then she also gave sanitiser to MI leg-spinner Karn Sharma. Bumrah happily obeyed Nita Ambani and joined the celebration only after sanitising his hands.
Photos of Nita Ambani sanitising Bumrah's hands went viral on social media. MI all-rounder Deepak Chahar was also seen walking around with sanitiser in his hand. He was giving sanitiser to MI and DC players. MI captain Hardik Pandya did a fist bump instead of shaking hands to thank the ground staff.

COVID-19 cases are rising in many parts of India. Cases are particularly rising in Kerala, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. There are more than 250 active COVID-19 cases in the country right now.
