Pakistan Diplomat Threatens Repeat of Pahalgam Attack, Tensions Escalate

Islamabad: Tensions have increased between India and Pakistan after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam last month. In such a situation, the global community is appealing to both countries to reduce tension and maintain peace. On the other hand, aggressive rhetoric continues from Pakistan on the Pahalgam attack and the Kashmir issue. After Pakistani leaders, now Pakistani diplomat Mohammad Faisal has threatened India to repeat the attack like Pahalgam. He has said that as long as the Kashmir issue remains, it is difficult to stop incidents like Pahalgam.

Pakistan's High Commissioner to Britain Mohammad Faisal said in a conversation with the BBC that we should go to the root of the problem instead of looking at things from the top. An incident has happened in Pahalgam, which has worsened the relations between India and Pakistan. Even if we assume that things will be fine in a few days, will there not be a possibility of such incidents happening again? This will continue till the Kashmir issue is not resolved. We want a solution to the Kashmir issue.

    'Anything can happen in Kashmir'

Faisal said that the Kashmir issue has to be resolved or else something else can happen after Pahalgam. He said, 'Pakistan supports the people of Kashmir and stands with them but this should not be linked to Pahalgam. India is accusing Pakistan of Pahalgam without any proof. We completely reject this. If India has proof, it should be ready for investigation so that the truth can come out.'

Amid the controversy arising after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, Pakistan is trying to fuel the Kashmir issue. Before Faisal, Pakistan's ambassador to the US Rizwan Saeed Sheikh has also said that the Kashmir issue is at the root of the dispute between India and Pakistan. He said that things can be fixed between India and Pakistan only by resolving the Kashmir issue.

Rizwan Saeed Sheikh said in an interview with Fox News that the focus should not be only on reducing the recent tension between India and Pakistan but the basic issue i.e. the Kashmir dispute should be addressed because it is a nuclear flashpoint. That is, this dispute can become the reason for a nuclear war. In such a situation, the world should pay attention to this.
