After the attack, a complete blackout was implemented in Jammu, Samba, Udhampur, Rajouri, Akhnoor and Ferozepur. The sound of sirens and the echo of explosions created panic among the local people. Sirens are also sounding in Udhampur and Samba. The local administration advised people to stay indoors and keep the lights off. According to defense sources, Pakistani drones tried to target military bases in Jammu, Samba, and Pathankot. Along with this, sounds of shelling and explosions were also heard in Poonch and Udhampur. In Samba, the Indian air defense system destroyed several drones amid the blackout, due to which loud explosions were heard.

This is not the first time that Pakistan has done such a thing. On Thursday night also, Pakistan carried out drone and missile attacks in the northern and western regions of India including Jammu and Kashmir, which were completely foiled by the Indian Army. According to sources, India not only shot down the drones, but also destroyed one F-16 and two JF-17 fighter planes of Pakistan.
