Pune. Pune Police in Maharashtra on Friday caught an accused in a rape case, who raped a 26-year-old woman in a bus at Swargate Bus Station. The accused Dattatraya Gade was caught by Pune Police late night from Shirur Tehsil. But the story of the arrest of this accused is very interesting. More than 100 policemen were searching for this accused for 72 hours and due to his one mistake, the police got a big success in this case.


It is being told that the villagers played an important role in catching the accused Dattatraya Gade. Because raids were being conducted everywhere in search of the accused, but he was dodging the police team for 45 hours. Pune city and Pune rural police started searching in Gunat village, in which drones and dog squads were used in sugarcane fields. Officials said that more than 100 policemen reached the village. But even after this, the police were empty handed because the accused would dodge the police and hide sometimes in sugarcane fields and sometimes in canola fields.


How was the accused caught


The police say that the accused was hiding in the sugarcane fields of Gunat village, but due to the search operation conducted by the police, he could not hide for long. Therefore, he kept changing his hiding place again and again. The accused, who was hiding in the sugarcane for two days, had not got food, so at night he went to his relatives' house to drink water. During this time, the people of the village informed the police about this and the accused was caught by the police team.


What did the accused say to the relative?


Accused Dattatraya Gade reached the house of one of his relatives Mahesh Bahiran at around 10:30 pm. At that time, he confessed that he had done something wrong and wanted to surrender to the police. He told his relatives that he could not bear it anymore, he had made a mistake. Then he went back to the sugarcane field with a bottle of water. From there, he was found sleeping near the water canal at night.

While constantly changing places and running here and there, a youth from the village noticed him. Ganesh Gavhane himself has claimed that a youth named Ganesh Gavhane, along with some friends, caught him and informed the police that the accused has been caught.

After the accused was caught by the police, he was immediately brought to Pune in a car. He has been kept in the lockup of Lashkar police station at night. Accused Dutta was medically examined at Sasoon General Hospital at around six in the morning.


What is the matter?

On Tuesday morning at around 5:30 am, he raped the girl at Swargate bus stand. He lured the girl, who was going for a walk in the rural area, into his trap by sweet talking her. He raped the girl in the Shivshahi bus parked at the depot. After this, the accused fled from Swargate and went to the village. After the incident, he stayed in the village for about 10 to 12 hours. Meanwhile, he also participated in the village's kirtan, but as soon as the news of the incident came on TV and he saw his name and photo in it, he left the house.
