New Delhi: So far, at least five big leaders have emerged in the Congress, whose line on Operation Sindoor and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has been quite different from the official line of the Congress party led by Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge. These include veteran Congressmen like Shashi Tharoor, Salman Khurshid, Manish Tewari, P Chidambaram and K Sudhakaran. This list becomes even longer when all the Congress members who were part of the multi-party delegations that went to countries around the world regarding Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and Operation Sindoor are added. But, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is still not shying away from targeting Operation Sindoor and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.
'India's foreign policy has completely collapsed'
At a time when many Congress leaders and MPs are on or about to go on foreign tours to present the central government's side by exposing Pakistan's black deeds on terrorism, Rahul Gandhi has again targeted Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and the Government of India. He wrote on X that 'India's foreign policy has failed.' Rahul Gandhi used the word 'JJ', which has surprised some people in the party as well. He has asked some questions while sharing a video of Jaishankar's interview. He asked why India is being linked with Pakistan? Why did no country support us in condemning Pakistan? Who asked Trump to mediate between India and Pakistan? He clearly said that India's foreign policy has completely collapsed.
'There could be a better way to ask questions'
Rahul Gandhi has not told what he means by 'JJ'. Some leaders feel that one J can be used for Jaishankar. But, many things are being said about the second J. But, most of the people within the Congress also believe that the second J is a negative word for Jaishankar. In such a situation, a party leader has said that the Congress should refrain from such things. If you have to ask questions to the government or the Foreign Minister, then there can be a better way than this. One of these leaders is included in the multi-party delegation. He feels that being the leader of the opposition, it is his responsibility to ask questions to the government, but such posts on social media for this are beyond understanding.
How Rahul Gandhi is failing even in Congress
This is not the first time that Congress and Rahul Gandhi have targeted Jaishankar in this way. Rahul Gandhi has even asked whether the government told him before attacking terrorist bases in Pakistan? Party spokesperson Pawan Khera also said that Jaishankar's statements can help terrorists escape. He also called Jaishankar an 'informer' and used objectionable words like 'Sindoor ka Sauda' for Operation Sindoor, which some Congress leaders are not liking.
In this case, the ruling BJP is hitting back at Rahul Gandhi in its own style. It is cornering the Congress leader with facts and also taunting him. This is fine for the Congress and Rahul Gandhi. Because, they cannot expect anything better from the Bharatiya Janata Party. But, the way many Congress leaders have openly stood with the government and the country in this case and are constantly coming forward, it seems that BJP is a later thing, Rahul is failing in his words even within the Congress.
