Rain Washes Out RCB vs KKR Clash, KKR Knocked Out of Playoff Race in IPL 2025

Bengaluru: The restart of IPL 2025 was not as expected. Royal Challengers Bangalore were to face Kolkata Knight Riders at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Due to rain, the toss could not be done in this match. It was raining in Bengaluru for the last several days. Rain was predicted during this match as well and it happened the same way. Rain started before the toss. It stopped once in the middle but came again. In the end the umpires decided to cancel it. Both the teams have got 1-1 points.


Playoff hopes over for KKR

With the match against RCB being cancelled due to rain, KKR's journey in IPL 2025 has come to an end. Last season, the team won the title under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer but this time it could not even reach the playoffs. KKR has 12 points with 5 wins in 13 matches. This is the second time the team's match has been washed out due to rain. Earlier, the match against Punjab Kings could not be completed.
