Rituraj Gaikwad Blames Rahane & Rayudu for CSK’s Loss! Fans Shocked!

Chennai: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) suffered a six-run defeat against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL 2025. This is their second consecutive defeat. Nitish Rana's stormy innings of 81 runs in 36 balls and Wanindu Hasaranga's four wickets helped RR win the match at Barsapara Stadium. Chasing the target of 183 runs, CSK could only score 176/6. Earlier, they lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the first time in 17 years at their home ground.

Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad made another strange excuse apart from the poor start and fielding mistakes. Gaikwad said after the match - We are not getting off to a good start. If this gets fixed then things will change. He also said that he gave 8-10 runs more in fielding, which needs to be improved. Gaikwad played an innings of 63 runs, but CSK could not reach the target due to lack of support from other batsmen.

Named Ambati Rayudu and Ajinkya Rahane

Gaikwad also told that the decision to bat at number 3 was already decided. He said that earlier Ajinkya Rahane used to bat at this number and Ambati Rayudu used to handle the middle order. This time he thought that if he comes to bat later, the team will get stability. At the same time, Rahul Tripathi can score fast runs in the beginning. Gaikwad said- This decision was taken in the auction itself and I have no problem with it. Anyway, I am getting a chance to bat early in every match.

RR captain Riyan Parag expressed happiness over his team's victory in Guwahati. He said that he felt that his team had scored 20 runs less. He said that his team was batting well in the middle order, but they lost some wickets quickly. However, his bowlers implemented their plans well. Parag said- We played two difficult matches. In one we gave 280 runs and in the other we could not defend 180 runs. This victory was very important.

These 5 players including MS Dhoni... who are the biggest culprits of CSK's defeat, the won match slipped away

    - Mahendra Singh Dhoni also played a big role in the defeat of this match. Dhoni, who is called the world's biggest finisher, missed finishing this match. In the last over, CSK needed 20 runs to win. But Sandeep Sharma got Dhoni caught out at deep mid-wicket and he could not finish the match.

    -

Once again the match was not good for Ravichandran Ashwin. He is continuously proving to be expensive in IPL. In this match too, Ashwin conceded 46 runs in 4 overs at an economy rate of 11.50 and he could take only one wicket. In such a situation, Ravichandran Ashwin also had a big hand in CSK's defeat.

    -

Rachin Ravindra was one of the villains in CSK's defeat. If Rachin had given a good start to CSK today, the team would not have lost the match. But this did not happen and Rachin Ravindra could not even open his account after playing 4 balls. He was sent to the pavilion by Jofra Archer.

    -

Another big culprit in CSK's defeat was Vijay Shankar. Vijay Shankar has been kept to strengthen the batting in the middle overs but he also went after scoring 9 runs off 6 balls and left CSK in the lurch. This also put pressure on CSK to score fast runs in the last overs.

    -

Jamie Overton also played a big role in CSK's defeat. Overton scored 30 runs in 2 overs. Due to which Rajasthan managed to put up a strong score. At the same time, Rajasthan batsmen were not facing any problem in front of Overton's bowling.

Rajasthan Royals turned the match with amazing fielding

RR's fielding was excellent. Riyan Parag took a brilliant catch of Shivam Dubey and Shimron Hetmyer ended MS Dhoni's innings by taking a brilliant catch. Parag said - Fielding made up for the lack of 20 runs. We are working with our fielding coach Dishant Yagnik. So its effect is visible. Nitish Rana batted brilliantly in the match. He scored 81 runs in just 36 balls.

Wanindu Hasaranga also bowled well and took four wickets. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 63 runs for CSK, but his team had to face defeat. RR also performed well in fielding. Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer took brilliant catches. After this defeat, CSK will have to learn from their mistakes and move forward. They have to improve their start and also improve fielding. At the same time, RR will have to maintain their winning streak.
