Ronaldo Lifts Third International Trophy, Portugal Win Nations League 2025

Munich: The final of the UEFA Nations League 2025 was played between Portugal and Spain at the Allianz Arena. An exciting final was played between the two teams. The result of the match came out through penalty shootout. Portugal won the penalty shootout 5-3 over Spain. With this, Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has won the third international trophy in his career.

Ronaldo first won the Euro Cup in 2016. After this, he won the Nations League in 2019 and now in 2025, he has once again won the Nations League title. However, if we talk about Ronaldo's biggest rival Lionel Messi, he has won 4 international trophies in his career so far.

This was the final of Portugal and Spain

The first goal in the final match was scored by Spain. Martin Zubamendi scored the first goal for Spain in the 21st minute. However, Spain's lead did not last long. Just 5 minutes later, Nuno Mendes scored an equalizer for Portugal. After this, Mikel Oyarzabal scored for Spain in the 45th minute. After this, Portugal made a comeback in the second half. In the 61st minute, none other than Cristiano Ronaldo himself scored for Portugal.

After this, none of the two teams scored for 90 minutes. Spain's emerging player Lamin Yamal failed to leave his mark in the title match. After 90 minutes, half an hour of extra time was given, in that too both the teams failed to score a goal. After this the result was decided in penalty shootout. Let us tell you that Ronaldo did not participate in the penalty shootout for Portugal, because he was already substituted (in the 88th minute).
