Shreyas Iyer vs Suryakumar Yadav: Mumbai Falcons Beat Triumph Knights in Post-IPL Clash

Mumbai: In a match between the limited overs stars of the Indian team, Shreyas Iyer's SoBo Mumbai Falcons defeated Suryakumar Yadav's Triumph Knights Mumbai North East by four wickets in a thrilling match of the T20 Mumbai League here on Friday. After being invited to bat first, the Knights team could only score 145 runs for five wickets in conditions favorable to fast bowlers. The Falcons achieved the target with four balls to spare.

Suryakumar Yadav's bat did not work

The Knights had a very bad start in which Suryakumar Yadav also became the victim of Kartik Mishra after scoring just one run. Opening batsman Siddhant Adhatrav held one end and scored a half-century. He was dismissed by Nikhil Giri after making a 46-run partnership with Suryansh Shedge.

    Hitesh Kadam's superb bowling

Suryansh (49 runs in 21 balls) and Makarand Patil (13) scored runs quickly in the last overs by making a quick partnership of 33 runs. Falcons had a bad start and Hitesh Kadam dismissed Ishan Mulchandani and Shreyansh Rai on consecutive balls. Captain Iyer (13) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi took charge of the innings by making a partnership of 54 runs. Iyer was caught LBW by Parikshit Valsangkar before he could become dangerous.

Vinayak Bhoir (33) and Akash Parkar (30) took Falcons to victory by making a partnership of 56 runs. Bandra Blasters defeated Akash Tigers by one run in another match played at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
