Ahmedabad/Vadodara: The case of Rakshit Chaurasia, the main accused in the Karelibagh hit and run case that took place in the posh areas of Vadodara a few hours after Holika Dahan, is now gaining momentum on social media. The reason for this is the video right after the incident. After hitting three vehicles, where injured people are lying on the road, he is doing drama and demands another round. Rakshit Chaurasia's friend sitting in the front seat also expressed his displeasure at the act of the driver, but Rakshit Chaurasia, who appeared to be drunk, behaved strangely. A woman named Hemali Patel (35) died in this accident.
The accused gave an interview to the media
After carrying out the horrific hit and run, the accused Rakshit Chaurasia, in the custody of Vadodara police, has also spoken to the media. In this, he is defending himself by saying that he is innocent and blaming the car for going into sports mode and the airbag opening. The question arises that on whose orders was the accused who destroyed an entire family given the opportunity to talk to the media. Five to seven people have been injured in the Vadodara hit and run incident. One woman has died among them. Efforts are being made to save her daughter somehow while the condition of her husband is also critical.
Who is Rakshit Chaurasia?
Chaurasia was driving a black Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus car, whose number plate was GJ06RA687. According to preliminary investigation, he is originally from Varanasi and studies in the Law Faculty at MS University in Vadodara. Chaurasia's friend who was present in the car at the time of the accident has been identified as Meet Pranshu Chauhan. This car belonged to Chauhan. He managed to escape from the spot. The police started a search operation to catch Chauhan. Rakshit Chaurasia's father's name is being told as Ravish Chaurasia. He is said to have connections with influential people of Uttar Pradesh. Rakshit Chaurasia was studying in PG in Vadodara. Meet Chauhan is a student of Parul University, Vadodara.
The incident was also committed on 19 February
Information has come out from sources in the local media of Vadodara that the accused Rakshit Chaurasia had a liquor party with friends in an area of the city on 19 February. During this, he had a fight with a Muslim lawyer when there was a ruckus. Then this matter reached the Fateganj police but it is alleged that the police had hushed up the whole matter. The question is arising that if the police had taken action on the same day against Rakshit Chaurasia who committed the hit and run incident a few hours after Holi Dahan, he would not have driven the car in an unsafe manner and perhaps this accident would not have happened. According to the area's DCP Panna Momaya, this accident happened due to over speeding.
