Virat Kohli congratulates RCB Women after WPL 2026 title victory

New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore has made history by defeating Delhi Capitals to win their second Women's Premier League title. After this spectacular victory, RCB's biggest icon and Indian legend Virat Kohli has showered praise on the team on social media.

    Virat Kohli's special message

Immediately after RCB's victory, Virat Kohli shared a picture of the team on his Instagram story and wrote, "We are champions again! The RCB flag is flying high, and this is an achievement you can all be proud of. Heartiest congratulations to Smriti Mandhana, the entire team, and the management team for this fantastic victory. You all deserve this win. Enjoy this moment and feel the love of your amazing fans, Royal Challengers Bangalore." Kohli's message is going viral on social media, reflecting his affection for the team.

    RCB wins third title

This victory is nothing short of a dream for the RCB franchise. This is a triple delight moment for Bangalore, so let's find out how many titles RCB has won in the last three years.

2024: The RCB women's team won their first WPL title.

2025: The RCB men's team won their first IPL title.

2026: Now the women's team has proved their dominance by winning their second WPL title.

Record run chase and thrilling finish

Delhi Capitals, batting first, posted a massive score of 203 runs, which included crucial innings from captain Jemimah Rodrigues (57), Laura Wolvaardt (44), and Lizelle Lee (37). However, Smriti Mandhana's innings of 87 runs (41 balls) and Georgia Wareham's 79 runs (54 balls) made this record target seem insignificant. RCB secured the victory with just two balls to spare, becoming one of the most successful teams in the league alongside Mumbai Indians.
