    Virat Kohli Drops Out of Top 5 in Orange Cap Race, Sudharsan’s Lead Under Threat

    The race for the Orange Cap has intensified after the LSG vs GT match in IPL 2025. Virat Kohli has slipped out of the top 5, while Sai Sudharsan’s reign at the top is now in danger from multiple challengers.

    Virat Kohli Drops Out of Top 5 in Orange Cap Race, Sudharsan’s Lead Under Threat

    IPL 2025 Orange Cap List: The 64th match of IPL season 18 was played on Thursday between Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants. Mitchell Marsh played a brilliant innings of 117 runs in 64 balls, with the help of which Lucknow was able to score a huge score of 235 runs. In response, Gujarat could only score 202 runs and LSG won the match by 33 runs. After this match, Virat Kohli is out of the list of top 5 players in the Orange Cap race.


    In the Orange Cap race, the top 2 batsmen are from Gujarat Titans. Sai Sudarshan is currently the Orange Cap holder while captain Shubman Gill is just 2 runs behind him. Sudarshan scored 21 runs against Lucknow on Thursday. Gill played an innings of 35 runs, he missed the Orange Cap.

    Mitchell Marsh scored 117 runs in 64 balls, in this innings he hit 8 sixes and 10 fours. This season has been good for Marsh, although his team (Lucknow) is out of the race for IPL playoffs. Marsh has now come to fourth place in the list of highest run-scoring batsmen. Nicholas Pooran, who scored 56 runs in 27 balls, has also come ahead of Virat Kohli.


    Gujarat Titans wicketkeeper batsman Jos Buttler has come ahead of Kohli to sixth place by scoring 33 runs, while Kohli was earlier at fifth place but after the match on Thursday, he has slipped to 8th place in the list. Kohli has scored 505 runs in 11 matches.

    Suryakumar Yadav (MI): 583 runs in 13 matches

    Yashasvi Jaiswal (RR): 559 runs in 14 matches

    Jos Buttler (GT): 533 runs in 13 matches

    Nicholas Pooran (LSG): 511 runs in 13 matches

    Virat Kohli (RCB): 505 runs in 11 matches

    KL Rahul (DC): 504 runs in 12 matches

    Prabhsimran Singh (PBKS): 458 runs in 12 matches

    RCB vs SRH match will be held in Lucknow today


    RCB vs Hyderabad match will be held today at Ekana Cricket Stadium, in this Virat Kohli will once again have a chance to move ahead in the list There will be an opportunity, a good innings is required from him. After this, RCB's last match in the league stage will be against Lucknow on 27 May. RCB can remain in the top 2 by winning both the matches, it has already confirmed its place in the playoffs.
