Virat Kohli Just One Fifty Away from IPL History, Could Surpass Warner Against KKR

New Delhi: After the India-Pakistan tension is over, the thrill of IPL is starting once again from May 17. The first match in the second part of the league is between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders. This match between the two teams will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium. RCB fans are especially eagerly waiting for this match.

In fact, Virat Kohli has recently announced his retirement from Test cricket. In such a situation, fans are waiting to pay tribute to him. It is expected that the Chinnaswamy Stadium will be packed for this match. On this special occasion, fans will be more lucky when Virat Kohli's bat roars against KKR. Because Virat is just one match away from a mega record in IPL.

Virat can have the record of most fifties

Actually Virat Kohli can make the record of most fifties in IPL. Virat Kohli has a total of 62 half-centuries in this league so far. It took Virat Kohli 255 innings to reach here. In such a situation, if he scores the 63rd half-century, then Australia's legendary batsman David Warner will be left behind.

Virat Kohli and Warner are currently at par in this matter. David Warner is not playing in IPL 2025, but he has done the feat of scoring 62 half-centuries in 184 innings of this league. In this case, India's former dashing opener Shikhar Dhawan is in third place. Shikhar Dhawan has done the feat of scoring 51 half-centuries in 221 innings of IPL.

    Rain can disrupt the match

During the match between KKR and RCB, rain can spoil the fun of the fans. According to the weather report, heavy rain is expected in Bengaluru today. However, the chances of rain after 9 pm are said to be very low. In such a situation, there may be some reduction in the overs for the match.
