AAP Manifesto: From auto-taxi drivers to students, youth, women and elderly, AAP's manifesto is full of freebies

During the Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced various free schemes. These include employment, monthly allowance to women, free bus travel, and medical expenses for the elderly. Apart from this, promises were also made to fulfill previous election promises.

New Delhi: There is a race to distribute freebies to woo voters in the Delhi Assembly elections. Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, while releasing the manifesto of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), said that not only will the earlier freebies continue, but many other types of free schemes are being guaranteed. He announced some free or assistance scheme for everyone, from students, youth, women, elderly to people from economically weaker sections. Let's take a look at what Kejriwal announced...

    Employment guarantee

A blueprint will be prepared to provide employment to every youth of Delhi.

    Mahila Samman Yojana

Every woman will be given Rs 2,100 every month. Will implement it as soon as possible after forming the government.

    Sanjeevani Yojana

The Delhi government will bear the cost of providing the best treatment to the elderly

    Water bills will be waived

When we went to jail and returned, we found out that many people had received water bills worth thousands of rupees. These were sent in a wrong way as a conspiracy. No one paid the bills. Water bills will be waived after forming the government.

Will fulfill the promises of 2020 in the next five years

In 2020, I had said that every household will get clean water 24 hours a day, will clean the Yamuna, will make the roads of Delhi of European standard. We had given these three guarantees in 2020. Today I am confessing in front of everyone that we could not do these three things. We will do these three things in the next five years.

    Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Scheme

If any child from Dalit community takes admission in a foreign university, the Delhi government will bear the cost of his food, lodging and transportation.

    Relief in travel for students

Just like women are given free bus travel, similarly all school-college students will be given free bus travel and 50% discount will be given in Delhi Metro.

    Pujari-Granthi Scheme

Every priest and granthi will be given Rs 18,000 per month.

    Relief to tenants

Will ensure free electricity and water scheme to tenants

    Sewer cleaning

Within 15 days of forming the government, the problem of sewer blockage or sewer overflow will be resolved. Wherever the sewer pipes have become old, they will be replaced.

    Ration card

We will restart the scheme of making new ration cards for the poor in Delhi.

Help to auto, taxi and e-rickshaw drivers

Delhi government will give Rs 1 lakh for daughter's marriage

Children will be given free coaching

Life insurance of Rs 10 lakh will be given

Health insurance of Rs 5 lakh will be done

    Law and order

Delhi government will give money to all RWAs for keeping private security guards

All the six old schemes will continue

    Free electricity

    Free water

    Free education

    Free pilgrimage for the elderly

    Free bus travel for women

Kejriwal said - saving of 25 thousand every month

Kejriwal said that free electricity saves 5 thousand, free water saves 2 thousand, free education saves 5 thousand rupees per child, free bus travel for women saves 2 to 2.5 thousand rupees. He claimed that the network of hospitals and mohalla clinics will be expanded and free treatment will continue which will lead to saving of 4-5 thousand rupees. He said that in this way, the people of Delhi are saving a total of Rs 25,000 every month due to the AAP government. Kejriwal said, 'If you press the lotus button, every family will have to spend an additional Rs 25,000. Many families will have to leave Delhi.'
