Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta usually attacks the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) fiercely. But on Monday, she praised former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for one thing in the assembly. Not only this, she also gave advice to former CM Atishi.
She said,
"I am worried for Atishi ji. Do not take Kejriwal's side so much, otherwise an unpleasant incident may happen."
CM Rekha Gupta Takes a Dig at AAP
CM Rekha Gupta said,
"No matter how many shortcomings the Aam Aadmi Party has, one good thing about them is that they admit their mistake in the end. Kejriwal ji also admitted that ‘I could not clean the Yamuna. I could not provide water.’ It is a good thing that finally accepting your mistake is also an improvement. Change should be seen in this."
Delhi Chief Minister took a dig at former CM Atishi and added,
"I will just say that I worry about Atishi ji. You should not take Arvind Kejriwal's side so much. I am worried that no incident like Swati Maliwal should happen with Atishi. When Swati Maliwal can be mistreated, then the same can be done with you. That is why we are worried. Aam Aadmi Party is responsible for the suffering of lakhs of people of Delhi while going to hospitals."
What Did Atishi Say?
Former CM Atishi responded,
"The Speaker had written a letter to me regarding the dignity of the House, but BJP members themselves are abusing AAP here. Mehrauli MLA said that Atishi is Shurpanakha. Did you not pay attention to dignity then?"
She further said,
"The people of Delhi have elected and sent you to work, but you are only being abused. Don't talk about this and that, tell me how the convoy was looted."
Atishi Questions BJP’s Faith in CAG Reports
Former CM Atishi also took a swipe at BJP over its faith in CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General of India) reports. She said,
"I have never seen the kind of faith the BJP has in CAG. I am happy that the discussion is taking place, at least somewhere."
She pointed out alleged irregularities and questioned,
"When iPhones were purchased in Uttarakhand with the money of the forest department, when there was a scam in Dwarka Expressway, why was its CAG report not discussed? As soon as the CAG report on Dwarka Expressway was tabled in Parliament, the officials who made it were transferred."
Atishi also commented on the Ayushman Bharat scheme, sarcastically stating,
"This is really a miraculous scheme, under which 28,000 patients are treated even after death."
