Delhi New CM Name: After 27 years, Rekha Gupta will be the Chief Ministerial face of BJP in Delhi. Parvesh Verma can be made Deputy CM. However, it is not confirmed yet. As soon as the name was announced, Rekha Gupta started receiving congratulations. After being elected the leader of the BJP Legislature Party, Rekha Gupta went to Raj Niwas and staked claim to form government before the Governor after 9 pm. The swearing-in will be tomorrow i.e. on 20 February.

After the Legislature Party meeting, former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad announced that Rekha Gupta has been unanimously elected as the leader of the Legislature Party. After Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dixit, Atishi, Rekha Gupta will be the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi. As soon as the news of Rekha Gupta becoming the CM came, supporters started flocking to the house of the Shalimar Bagh MLA. Sweets started being distributed. Rekha Gupta has become an MLA for the first time. Manoj Tiwari congratulated Rekha Gupta after coming out of the meeting. Through Rekha Gupta, who comes from the Vaishya community, the BJP has also tried to balance the caste equations.


Who is Rekha Gupta?


The name of Rekha Gupta has been approved in the BJP Legislature Party meeting. Rekha Gupta will take oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi on 20 February. Rekha Gupta defeated AAP's Bandana Kumari from the Shalimar Bagh seat by a margin of 29,595 votes. 11 days after the results of the Delhi Assembly elections, the name of the Chief Minister has been announced by the BJP. The swearing-in ceremony for the post of Chief Minister will be held at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on 20 February. The first copy of the invitation regarding the swearing-in ceremony has surfaced. In this invitation letter, the Chief Secretary has invited all the people to attend the ceremony. According to the invitation letter, this swearing-in ceremony will be held at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi at 12 noon.


Rekha was also among those who met Nadda


Earlier, in the BJP Legislature Party meeting, a total of 65 people were present including 48 MLAs, 7 MPs of Delhi, 2 observers, 3 in-charges and co-in-charges, Delhi BJP President, Delhi General Secretary, Organization Minister. It is worth noting that on February 11, BJP National President JP Nadda met 10 newly elected MLAs. These MLAs included Vijender Gupta, Rekha Gupta, Arvinder Singh Lovely, Ajay Mahawar, Satish Upadhyay, Shikha Rai, Anil Sharma and Dr. Anil Goyal, Kapil Mishra and Kulwant Rana.
