    IPL 2025: Vaibhav Suryavanshi Falls for Duck—Deepak Chahar Ends Storm in 2 Balls

    Jaipur: Rajasthan Royals' young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi could not perform in the match against Mumbai Indians. Vaibhav could not even open his account in the match played at Sawai Mansingh Cricket Stadium in Jaipur. Vaibhav Suryavanshi could play only two balls on Deepak Chahar's ball and he was caught by Will Jacks in an attempt to hit a big shot. In this way, the storm of Vaibhav, who created a sensation with his stormy batting against Gujarat, calmed down in just 2 balls.


    Before the match against Mumbai, Vaibhav Suryavanshi had created a stir by playing an innings of 101 runs. In this match against Gujarat Titans, Vaibhav also hit 11 sixes and 7 fours in this 38-ball innings. Not only this, Vaibhav, while batting brilliantly, completed his fifty in the first 17 balls and after that scored a century in 35 balls. In this way, Vaibhav also became the Indian batsman to score a century in the least number of balls in IPL.


    Mumbai Indians scored 217 runs while batting first


    On the other hand, talking about this match against Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians were invited to bat first after losing the toss. Batting first for Mumbai Indians, Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma made a stormy start. Both the batsmen scored half-centuries for the team. Rickelton was dismissed after playing an innings of 61 runs in 38 balls. At the same time, Rohit Sharma scored 53 runs in 36 balls.


    Apart from Rohit Sharma and Rickelton, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya also showed their magic for the team. Both these batsmen played 23 balls each and scored 48 runs each. This way Mumbai Indians scored 217 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. On the other hand, only 2 bowlers from Rajasthan got wickets.
