Mamata Banerjee greets people on TMC foundation day, vows firm stand

Kolkata: Congratulating the people on the foundation day of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Thursday that her party will continue its fight for the people and will not bow down to evil forces.

Goal of serving 'Mother, Motherland, and People'

Mamata Banerjee said that the core guiding principle of the party's historic journey has been to respect the motherland, develop Bengal, and protect democratic rights. Mamata Banerjee said that the party's journey began on January 1, 1998, with the goal of serving 'Mother, Motherland, and People'. Appreciating the dedication and sacrifice of the party workers, she said in a post on the social media platform 'X', "Even today, every worker and supporter of our party remains unwavering and committed to this goal."

'The struggle for the common people will continue'

Mamata Banerjee said that the party has been blessed with the affection, love, and blessings of countless people. She emphasized that this support from the people is the strength of the party and the TMC will remain fully committed to fighting for the rights of every person in the country. She said, "We will not bow down to any malicious force, and disregarding all opposition, our struggle for the common people will continue throughout our lives."

Abhishek to present TMC government's report card

Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee will take to the streets from Friday to present a 'report card' of the work done by the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal during its 14-year tenure since 2011. Assembly elections are scheduled in West Bengal in a few months. On Thursday, the Trinamool Congress posted on 'X' the slogan coined by Banerjee, "Jotoi koro hamla, abar jitbe Bangla" (No matter how much you attack, Bengal will emerge victorious again).
