NDA on Alert: Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Rights Yatra in Bihar Forces BJP to Rework Strategy

New Delhi: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi's Voter Rights Yatra is gathering a huge crowd ahead of the assembly elections in Bihar. In response, the ruling BJP has fielded its prominent leaders and NDA allies to counter the opposition unity. RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav is also included in this journey of Rahul Gandhi. During this, Rahul Gandhi has reiterated the allegation of 'vote theft' on the Election Commission and BJP. Due to this, the opposition India Block has intensified attacks on the Election Commission regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar.

NDA did not get much benefit from the SIR process

Some BJP leaders believe that the NDA has not got any special benefit from the SIR process. On the contrary, the names of many NDA supporting voters have been removed from the draft list. A senior BJP leader said, "Hardly any family has remained untouched by this process. SIR and the Waqf Amendment Bill passed in the Budget Session of Parliament are together strengthening the Muslim-Yadav votebank, which is proving beneficial for the RJD and the Congress." Darbhanga [Bihar], Aug 27 (ANI)_ Lok Sabha LoP and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, hol.... Rahul Gandhi has been continuously accusing the Election Commission of vote theft. Prashant Kishor is constantly attacking BJP leaders Meanwhile, Jan Suraj Party (JSP) chief Prashant Kishor's attacks on the BJP's state unit are also raising concerns. Kishor has been continuously accusing state BJP leaders of irregularities and corruption. Recently, he targeted state president Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Health Minister Mangal Pandey. Prashant Kishor accused Jaiswal of fraudulently taking over Mata Gujri Medical College, a Sikh institution in Kishanganj. He accused Samrat Choudhary of forging educational records, while he accused Mangal Pandey of an ambulance scam, claiming that his ministry had purchased 466 ambulances at a high rate of Rs 28 lakh per vehicle while other states had purchased them at a lower rate.

BJP moving ahead relying on Modi-Nitish

According to a report in the Indian Express, the BJP has called all these allegations baseless. The party says that the honest image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the joint campaign of the NDA will eliminate the advantage that the opposition gets. As part of this strategy, the BJP has assigned the responsibility of holding press conferences in all 38 districts of the state to several senior leaders of Bihar and national spokespersons—including Ravi Shankar Prasad, Shahnawaz Hussain, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Sanjay Jaiswal, Guru Prakash and Ajay Alok.

14 teams, public relations programs in 243 assembly constituencies

Along with this, the party has formed 14 NDA teams which will organize public relations programs, meetings and processions in 243 assembly constituencies. According to party sources, these Vidhan Sabha Sammelans will be a platform to present a united image of the NDA. The central leadership has instructed that the presence of all NDA allies and their flags is necessary in every meeting. In these programs, the achievements and schemes of the central and state government will be given prominence so that the impact of the India Block campaign is reduced.

Rahul's visit has drawn more crowd than expected

However, BJP leaders admitted that Rahul's visit has drawn more crowd than expected. An MP said that the visit is drawing crowds. Despite the leadership of Modi and Nitish, Prashant Kishore's allegations have affected the credibility of our state leaders. When our workers remind of Lalu Prasad's 'fodder scam', people question us on the ambulance scam. This is the reason why Rahul is getting an edge. Another BJP leader said that corruption-free governance was our biggest identity, and corruption allegations have weakened this strength of ours, making the election not that easy.

Yadav and Muslim community again with RJD-Congress?

BJP leaders are also worried that the Yadav and Muslim communities have again sided with the RJD-Congress and some Dalit communities also seem to be coming closer to the India Block. Apart from this, the leaders believe that the SIR process is not limited to removing the names of illegal immigrants.

However, many senior BJP leaders believe that Rahul's visit and the opposition's campaign will not cause any significant damage to the NDA. Former state president Sanjay Jaiswal said that the two biggest vote thefts in the history of India took place - the first when Tejashwi's father Lalu Prasad used to snatch ballot papers in 1990-2000. The second was when Rahul Gandhi's great-grandfather Jawaharlal Nehru defeated Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar by 14,000 votes in the 1952 Lok Sabha elections. People have not forgotten these things.

What did Shahnawaz Hussain say on Rahul's visit?

Former Union Minister Shahnawaz Hussain also rejected the claims of Rahul's visit gathering crowds. He said that this is not a matter of concern for us. The crowd seen with Rahul Gandhi is of those who want tickets from Congress and RJD. The general public has rejected them. This is just a visit of workers. When Rahul goes to Makhana farmers

If they are, they should understand that farmers know what Modi ji has done for them. Hussain also said that the confusion over leadership in the India Block will weaken their electoral prospects. He said that when Rahul was asked whether Tejashwi was his chief ministerial candidate, he did not give any answer. In such a situation, RJD supporters feel that this visit is only to increase the political status of Rahul Gandhi.
