    PM Modi Praises Agriculture Minister’s Article on Developed India Gram Bill

    New Delhi: PM Modi on Saturday shared an article written by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The article emphasizes the reforms brought about through the Developed India Gram Bill. In a post on X, PM Modi said that its aim is to transform rural livelihoods by increasing employment guarantee, incorporating local planning, and balancing workers' safety with agricultural productivity.     Responding to an article written by a Union Minister, PM Modi said, "In this must-read article, Union Minister Shivraj Chauhan explains how the Viksit Bharat Gram Bill aims to transform rural livelihoods by enhancing employment guarantees, incorporating local planning, balancing worker protection and agricultural productivity, integrating schemes, strengthening frontline capacity, and modernizing governance. He emphasizes that this bill is not a retreat from social protection, but rather a new form of it."


    G Ram Ji Bill Passed by Parliament

    Parliament on Thursday passed the ‘Viksit Bharat-G Ram Ji Bill, 2025’ amidst protests from the opposition. Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that “the Congress killed Bapu’s ideals, while the Modi government has kept them alive.” Singh

    categorically rejected the opposition's allegations regarding replacing the MNREGA scheme with a new bill and removing Mahatma Gandhi's name from it.


    Over 6 Hours of Discussion in Rajya Sabha

    Chauhan said that through the ‘Viksit Bharat-G Ram Ji Bill, 2025’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government is working towards implementing Mahatma Gandhi's ideals and building a developed India on the foundation of developed villages. The bill was discussed for over six hours in the Rajya Sabha. After Minister Chauhan's reply, it was passed by a voice vote. The House rejected several amendment proposals moved by opposition members on the bill. The Lok Sabha had approved the bill earlier in the day.
