    Who Will Lead BJP in Bengal, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand? Top Leaders Picked to Finalize Names

    New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed state election officers for the election of BJP state president in Maharashtra, Uttarakhand and West Bengal. The party has announced this by putting a list on the X handle. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has been appointed for Maharashtra, Union Minister Harsh Malhotra for Uttarakhand and MP Ravi Shankar Prasad for West Bengal.


    Ravindra Chavan's name in discussion in Maharashtra


    Ravindra Chavan's name is considered almost certain for the post of BJP state president in Maharashtra. He is an MLA from Dombivali seat in Thane district. In January 2025, he was made the working president of the state but now the discussion of his name is intensified.


    Discussion of this name intensifies in Uttarakhand

    The command of the state organization in Uttarakhand is in the hands of Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt. Before the election process of the state president started, once again he was considered the strongest contender for this post. If the situation changes, another name can also come up.


    Round of meetings continues in Bengal, Ravi Shankar will choose new state president


    Let us tell you that till a few days ago, a round of meetings continued in Bengal to elect a new state president, in which some names were sent to the central leadership. Now MP Ravi Shankar Prasad has been given the responsibility of choosing the new BJP state president.


    New state presidents are to be elected in 14 statesBJP will elect new state presidents in 14 states. After this the party will also elect a new national president. JP Nadda's term has been completed in June 2024. Therefore, BJP can elect a new national president before July 21. Election of state presidents is yet to be held in states like Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
