Congress Takes a Bold Step: Plans to Challenge Government Over SC, ST, OBC Issues!

Congress News: Congress has intensified its strategic preparations to strengthen its position. The party is planning to corner the government on SC, ST, OBC issue. In this, Congress has raised the issue of reserved quota scholarship and teacher recruitment for reserved in UP. Know the complete plan of the country's main opposition party.

    Kharge raised this issue

In view of this, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday raised the issue of continuous reduction in the amount of scholarship given to ST, SC, OBC and minority students. Kharge accused the government on social media on this issue that it is engaged in usurping the money rightfully due to these communities. He wrote to PM Modi that your government has usurped the scholarships of these communities.

Congress President's attack on Modi government

Kharge, referring to government figures, said that shameful government figures show that the Modi government has made huge cuts in the number of beneficiaries in all scholarships, and has also spent 25 percent less funds on an average year after year. The Congress President asked that until the students of the weaker sections of the country do not get opportunities, their skills are not encouraged, how will we be able to increase jobs for the youth of our country? Kharge described the Modi government's slogan of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' as mocking the aspirations of the weaker sections.

    What did Tarun Punia say

On the other hand, the president of the SC department of UP, Tarun Punia, accused the government of ignoring the people of the reserved community in the teachers' recruitment in UP and demanded an investigation into the entire recruitment process. Punia alleged that in the teachers' recruitment process, people from the unreserved category were given jobs on thousands of reserved seats.

    Congress's warning to the government

Congress called this entire exercise a blatant violation of the right to reservation granted by the Constitution and warned the government that if the UP government does not immediately fix accountability, withdraw this decision, and does not reinstate reserved candidates on more than 18,500 posts of reserved categories, then the Congress will agitate to get the deprived their rights and justice.

Not only this, the Congress also demanded a high-level investigation into this entire recruitment scam. Also, it said that the repression on students and teachers raising their voice against this injustice should be stopped. He called this scam bigger than the Vyapam scam of Madhya Pradesh.

'We will raise issues related to Dalits and tribals'

Punia, while talking to NBT, said that we have planned to raise issues related to Dalits and tribals at every level. Our top leaders also talk about raising voice in favor of social justice. We will raise such issues in the coming times as well. Today such an issue has come out from UP, so we have brought it to the media. Apart from these, whatever other issues there will be, we will raise questions in front of the government, will ask the government for accountability.

    Congress threatens agitation

Punia said that recently three incidents have happened in UP, where Dalits were prevented from taking out a wedding procession. Such complaints have come in Mathura, Meerut and Bijnor. Our delegations went to two of these places on the ground, so that the reality can be fully revealed. Congress has decided that wherever there is injustice and atrocities with the deprived community of the society, the party will raise its voice. If needed, such issues will be given the form of an organized movement.

    NBT Lens

SC, ST, OBC, minorities have been voting for Congress. With time, this vote bank got scattered. Congress is now trying to unite these communities once again by talking about the Constitution. In fact, in the last Lok Sabha elections, Congress saw how the attack on the Constitution and the talk of saving the Constitution mobilized all these sections and stopped the BJP, which claimed to cross 400, at only 240. Congress understands that by constantly focusing on the issues and concerns of these sections, it will be able to connect with a large population on the ground. The party believes that the only way to counter BJP's narrative of 'if you divide, you will divide' is to try to unite these people by raising the real issues of this population.
