Delhi’s New CM: President Murmu to Appoint, Not LG Saxena – Here’s Why

New Delhi: The people of Delhi have given a strong majority to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the assembly elections. With this, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of more than 10 years has shown the way out of power. BJP has got 48 seats. At the same time, AAP has won 22 seats. Now answers to this question are being found who will be the next Chief Minister of Delhi?

President Draupadi Murmu will appoint the next Chief Minister in Delhi. Now the question is why LG Vinay Kumar Saxena will not appoint the next CM of Delhi. Let's try to find the answer to this news.

Why does the President appoint a CM in Delhi?

According to party sources, due to being a union territory, Delhi needs the President's approval in the name of the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister is appointed by the President of India in Delhi. However, Delhi is a union territory, so some special procedures are involved in the appointment of the Chief Minister here.

According to the TOI report, a source said, "Once the party decides the name for the CM, the President Murmu will appoint CM on the advice of the Lieutenant Governor. Whose Council of Ministers is collectively responsible for the Legislative Assembly. This process will take time (2-3 days). "

PM Modi can join the swearing-in

The source said, "Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the swearing -ceremony like other BJP-ruled states. Given that the Prime Minister is going to America for an important meeting with US President Donald Trump on 12-13 February. The swearing-in ceremony is likely to take place after February 15, until everything is decided in the next 1-2 days. ”

The name of the CM is a question till the person is, the BJP is likely to choose a surprise candidate, for a balance between caste, experience, and political strategy. A party source said, "These election results have proved that the traditional vote bank-Punjabi, Baniya, people living in slum,s and others have voted in large numbers. Winning seven seats ithe n New Delhi parliamentary constituency also shows that people have expressed confidence in us. The party will finalize a name only after considering all these factors. "
