Iran reaffirms stand on nuclear talks with US, explains Rome round delay

Tehran: Iran has said that it is not backing down from its stand on the nuclear issue with America. Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghai said that his country is ready to negotiate with America. He said that if America talks seriously with Iran on the issue of nuclear weapons, then consensus can be reached on many issues. Iran has said that it is also ready to negotiate with Britain, France and Germany because it is in favor of solving things peacefully.

The fourth round of nuclear talks between Iran and America scheduled for May 3 was postponed due to 'necessary reasons'. This has put the talks that started some time ago between the two countries under question. On this, Ismail Bagai said that Iran wishes to follow the path of dialogue and diplomacy. He said that we have made our stand clear by participating in several rounds of talks and still stand by our stand.

We are not strict on the time of talks: Iran

The spokesperson of the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that Tehran is adopting a flexible attitude regarding the time of talks. He is waiting for information from Oman about the next round of talks. Oman is mediating between Iran and America in this matter. Bagai said that the US negotiating team is very important for us.

Baghai also said that the contradictory statements of American officials on nuclear talks are not proving helpful in resolving this issue. Despite this, Tehran's intention to stick to its principles will not be affected. Iran stands by its right to enrich uranium in its country but this is only for works related to the development of the country. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has recently said that Iran should import uranium for its nuclear program. It should not enrich uranium in its country.

America says that Iran is making a nuclear bomb. Donald Trump has threatened Iran that if it does not make any agreement on the nuclear program, then he will launch a military attack. Iran says that its nuclear program is only for peaceful purposes. Both the countries have recently started talks to resolve this issue.
