PM Modi Gets Leaf-Plate Dinner in Trinidad, Gifts Special Ayodhya Token to Host PM

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has set out to strengthen India's relations with the Global South, is on a tour of 5 countries. During this, PM Modi has also visited Trinidad and Tobago. The Prime Minister of India was given a grand welcome here. Prime Minister Kamala Prasad Bissessar of Trinidad and Tobago organized a dinner to welcome PM Modi.


Prime Minister Modi was served food on a Sohari leaf at dinner. Actually, eating food on a Sohari leaf has great importance among the people of Trinidad and Tobago. Especially for people of Indian origin, this is seen as a cultural tradition. In this country, food is often served on this leaf during festivals and special events.

PM Modi himself shared pictures of the dinner on social media. He said that Prime Minister Kamala Prasad-Bissessar organized the dinner, in which I presented the replica of Ram temple in Ayodhya and the holy water of the Saryu river as well as the water of the Maha Kumbh held in Prayagraj. These are symbols of deep cultural and spiritual ties between India and Trinidad and Tobago.


The relationship between the two countries will be strengthened


Earlier, PM Modi also addressed the sixth generation of Indian immigrants living in Trinidad and Tobago. PM Modi said that our decision to issue OCI cards to people of Indian origin living here will strengthen their relationship with India. Along with this, our shared heritage will be safe for future generations.
