Trump Jaishankar News: Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that Donald Trump is an American nationalist, just like Modi talks about India's interests. Trump's policies will change, but India's foreign policy is based on India's interests.

New Delhi. The question of whether Donald Trump will be a friend or foe to India has arisen. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar addressed this at a program at Hansraj College, stating that Trump is an American nationalist, similar to how Prime Minister Modi represents India.

Jaishankar was asked whether Trump is a friend or enemy of India, answering this he said, I recently attended his swearing-in ceremony and we were treated well. I believe he is an American nationalist. Jaishankar acknowledged that Trump's policies could bring about significant changes in global affairs, but he stressed that India's foreign policy is driven only by India's interests.

Yes, Trump will implement many changes.

Jaishankar said, "Yes, Trump will change many things. Some things may not be as expected, but we have to remain open in terms of foreign policies in the interest of the country. There may be some issues on which we may not agree, but there will be many areas where things will be within our scope." Jaishankar also emphasized the strong personal relationship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Trump, saying that our relations with America are strong and Modi has a good personal relationship with Trump.

"We stand as guardians of the outside world."

Jaishankar also talked about India's growing influence in the world. He said, now even non-Indians call themselves Indians, they think that this will help them get a seat on the plane. Jaishankar said, I never thought that I would become a bureaucrat. I came into politics suddenly, either call it fate or call it Modi. He (Prime Minister Modi) promoted me in such a way that no one could refuse. Jaishankar clearly said that Indians living abroad still depend on their motherland for support. Whoever goes outside the country, they come to us only. We are the protectors outside.
