
Philippines: Former President Rodrigo Duterte Arrested, ICC Issued Warrant for Crimes Against Humanity
Former President Rodrigo Duterte was arrested by the Philippine government on Tuesday, as the government said that he received a warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC) on charges of crimes against humanity. Based on police data, Duterte has been investigated by the ICC for the brutal action against drugs during his tenure, in which more than 6,000 people were killed.
